NXT Takeover 31 had a phenomenal main event. Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly showed why they are two of the best in the world, however, it seems the match may have come at a cost.
As some fans noted at the end of the show, Balor was clearly in pain with blood coming from his mouth. The end of the match saw Balor hit the Coup de Grace abruptly and now we may know why. Triple H revealed on the post-show media call that Balor was on his way to the hospital to get an x-ray on his jaw.

Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT tweeted the news. Hopefully, any injury suffered is minor as a broken jaw could put Balor on the shelf for an extended period of time. Obviously, as NXT Champion, that would not be ideal for him or the brand.
Following the main event, Ridge Holland deposited Adam Cole’s lifeless body at ringside. This would seem to indicate Holland may be next in line for a shot at Balor’s title. Of course, this will be dependent on Balor’s status.
We will provide an update on Balor’s condition as soon as it is available.
