Top NXT Star Teases ‘Real Interesting News’

A top WWE NXT star has teased that he has received some “real interesting news” ahead of tonight’s episode of the show on the USA Network.

Former NXT Champion Adam Cole took to Twitter today, writing:

Just heard some really interesting news. If he is that serious about fixing this, then count me in.

The question is, of course, who is the “he” that Cole is referring to? It could be Pat McAfee, with whom he had a worked altercation with that was shown on TV last week, which has led to rumours that we could be heading towards a Cole vs McAfee match at TakeOver: XXX on August 22. WWE has announced that McAfee will be appearing on NXT to address the incident.

Cole hasn’t had a match since he lost the NXT Title to Keith Lee on the July 8 episode. Tonight his Undisputed ERA stablemates Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly challenge Imperium’s Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
