Top Star References Infamous Backstage Rumour In Spat With Current Rival

A WWE Hall of Famer has suggested that her rival CTRL her tears when they meet at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.

Bayley shared a photo on social media of herself and Trish Stratus sitting in a hotel hallway.

In the image, Bayley reflects that it was taken after she and Sasha Banks had lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships to The IIconics at WrestleMania 35.

Banks and Bayley were known as The Boss n Hug Connection and were championships going into the match which also featured Nia Jax & Tamina and Beth Phoenix & Natalya.

Whilst it is obviously a touching memory of times gone by, Stratus and Bayley are on opposite sides of a feud between the current WWE Raw Women’s Champions Becky Lynch & Lita and Damage CTRL.

Trish Stratus recently returned to WWE and sided with Lita & Lynch, helping them win the belts from IYO SKY & Dakota Kai, better known as two-thirds of Damage CTRL with Bayley.

With this in mind, Stratus would reply to the Tweet with a somewhat withering message of her own to Bayley.
