Following a two-on-one backstage attack at the hands of Chris Jericho and Jake Hager last night on Dynamite, AEW star Matt Hardy has said that he’s lost “all respect for Jericho.
The former WWE star took to Twitter to comment on the attack. He spoke about his up-and-down relationship with Jericho through the years, but noted that he’s lost all respect for him this year:
Getting imaging done of knee right now, just turned into your #AEWDynamite match in progress. Give them hell, @Marq_Quen & @IsiahKassidy!
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with @IAmJericho over our careers, but I’ve lost all respect for him this year.
The backstage attack served to build towards the Jake Hager and Chris Jericho vs. Private Party match, which also took place on last night’s show. Hardy was set to be in the young tag team’s corner.
This could have been a way to wite Hardy off TV for the next few weeks, building to his return and an eventual match with Chris Jericho, something that AEW has clearly been working on for months now.
Speaking of Chris Jericho, the former AEW World Champion has stated that a current WWE star reminds him of The Rock. You can find out who he’s talking about by clicking here.
