Drew McIntyre Hopes For Feud With Braun Strowman

Drew McIntyre Hopes For Feud With Braun Strowman WWE

With Triple H taking over WWE creative following the retirement of Vince McMahon back in July, many stars who were released as part of the old WWE regime have made their returns to the company under the Triple H regime.

One of the biggest names, quite literally, to make his return to the company is former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman, who returned on the September 5 episode of Raw, laying waste to the Alpha Academy, Los Lotharios, New Day and the Street Profits.

Strowman wrestled his first match since his return on SmackDown two weeks ago, when he defeated Otis of the Alpha Academy. This was his first match in the company since WrestleMania Backlash in 2021, when he was defeated by Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat match also involving Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

McIntyre spoke to My San Antonio, where he was asked about which returning WWE star he is interested in feuding with in the future.

Drew said:

“Anyone who gets in my way, to be honest. But I’ve always wanted to have a feud with Braun (Strowman). It is a simple story to tell with two big guys. But there is more depth to it than that. The visual of Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman. I am 6-foot-5, 275 and he makes me look like a smaller guy. How exciting and impressive that match would be? But I also know how the story could be compelling. You have two superstars who got let go from the company only to comeback and try to reprove themselves.”

Drew is currently engaged in a feud with another recently returned WWE star, Karrion Kross, with the two set for a strap match at the Extreme Rules event this weekend.
