Top Star Returning To New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling has been suffering from having a lack of foreign stars. Their biggest foreign star at the moment is former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Jay White. White has been unable to return to Japan due to the pandemic but now he will be returning to a New Japan ring. However, he will be doing so in the United States.

New Japan announced on Twitter that White will be in action next week on NJPW Strong. This will be White’s first match since winning an eight-man tag match at the Manabu Nakanishi Retirement event.

NJPW Strong has been airing from the United States with a focus on American talent. This has included the likes of Jeff Cobb and Karl Fredericks as well as featuring them in the New Japan Cup USA. The finals of that tournament will take place on the show next week, the same show that White will be wrestling on.

There has been no word on how White will be integrated back into Bullet Club. He was the faction’s leader before the pandemic but EVIL’s heel turn has bumped him off the top of the totem pole.
