Top Star Wanted To Call WWE Out At WrestleMania Backlash WWE

A top WWE star has admitted that they wanted to call the company out at WrestleMania Backlash.

Since her return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2022, Ronda Rousey has a rollercoaster 2022.

After winning the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, Rousey came up short against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38.

However, the UFC Hall of Famer recovered and went on to defeat Flair in an I Quit Match to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash in May.

Speaking on her “Ronda On The Road” series on YouTube, “The Baddest Woman On The Planet” discussed her frustration with the lineup for that premium live event.

She said:

“I wanted to call out the WWE for only having one woman’s match out of six matches at Backlash, and say that we are more than one sixth of the company.”

Despite her disappointment, Ronda promised to do her part in making sure women are at the forefront of the company moving forward.

Rousey lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Liv Morgan after she cashed in at the Money In The Bank premium live event in July.

However, the MMA legend regain the gold by defeating Morgan in an Extreme Rules Match at the titular event earlier this month.
