The Good Brothers have provided an update on their future with IMPACT Wrestling.
In July, it was revealed that the IMPACT Wrestling contracts of “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson and “The Big LG” Doc Gallows of The Good Brothers were set to expire.
After signing an extension to drop the tag team titles to Matt Taven and Mike Bennett, Gallows and Anderson finished up with the promotion at the end of August.
However, it seems like this isn’t the end of The Good Brothers in IMPACT.
IMPACT Wrestling released a video on social media with comments from Gallows and Anderson following their loss to the Motor City Machine Guns on the September 15 edition of IMPACT on AXS TV.
The video indicated that the Bullet Club members don’t plan on saying goodbye to IMPACT and instead say “see you later”.
Anderson said:
“The Motor City Machine Guns vs. the world-famous Good Brothers in the marquee box office. It finally happened. Chills on my body just hearing that. Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, nothing but respect for you. Nothing but respect for the Motor City Machine Guns. IMPACT Wrestling, We gotta tell you something. We’re leaving for a little while. New Japan Pro-Wrestling is where we’re going. We’ve got business we gotta take care of across the pond.”
Gallows added:
“We don’t say ‘goodbye,’ we say ‘see you later. ‘ I’m happy we got to have a dream match on the way out what we asked for for two years with the Motor City Machine Guns. So until we get back from across the pond, Too Sweet.”
The Good Brothers are set to make their return to NJPW for their ongoing Burning Spirit Tour. Karl Anderson will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi on the September 25 show.
Gallows and Anderson also received some interest in a return to WWE, which you can read more about here.
