Top WWE Name Believes The Bloodline Storyline ‘Deserves An Emmy’ WWE

A top WWE name believes The Bloodline storyline “deserves an Emmy”.

At WWE Royal Rumble, The Bloodline seemingly imploded when Sami Zayn struck Roman Reigns with a steel chair. This led to the group attacking Zayn with the exception of Jey Uso who walked out on his family.

Wrestling fans have been praising the escalation of the drama within The Bloodline and its success in WWE, but the discussion has also been echoed by those within the company as well.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, SmackDown commentator Michael Cole discussed the Royal Rumble ending with Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and The Bloodline. He said:

“The last 15 minutes of the event Saturday night, Pat, we didn’t say a word. We did not utter a sound for the last 15 minutes of that show.”

“When Sami Zayn turned on Roman Reigns and hit him with the chair? That pop was enormous.”

Zayn spent the past nine months seeking acceptance from Roman Reigns and his Samoan family. After finally becoming “The Honorary Uce” and winning over Jey Uso at Survivor Series, Sami’s status with The Bloodline began to become shaky with his former friendship with Kevin Owens getting in the way.

Cole continued on to further praise the work of the storyline and said that it was award-worthy. He stated:

“This Roman Reigns-Kevin Owens-Bloodline-Sami Zayn storyline is probably the best television we’ve done in a decade. And it’s Emmy-worthy in many ways.”

On the February 3 edition of SmackDown, WWE officially announced that Roman Reigns will face Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber in Montreal on February 18. For the full lineup for the event, click here.
