Top WWE NXT Star Returns At Live Event, Attacks Former Champion WWE

A top WWE NXT star returned at a live event in Bartow, FL last night (March 22), attacking a former champion and signalling their intent to recapture the title they recently lost.

After losing her NXT Women’s Championship to Stephanie Vaquer at WWE Roadblock last week (March 11), there has been much speculation and reporting regarding the status of Giulia.

To many fans WWE’s booking of the title vs title winner take all match between Giulia and Vaquer was somewhat sudden and unexpected, especially given that NXT’s biggest show – Stand & Deliver was only a month away.

While not stated as such by WWE, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer had reported that Giulia was dealing with a “minor Visa issue” and an “undisclosed injury”, which seemingly explained why WWE booked Giulia to drop her title after only 63 days as champion.

Despite what had been reported leading fans to believe that Giulia would potentially be out for a prolonged period of time, the former NXT Women’s Champion made her return at a live event in Bartow, FL last night.

As can be seen down below courtesy of a Twitter user at the event, Giulia returned to confront Cora Jade at the event, laying the former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion out, before seemingly signalling that she wanted her NXT Women’s Title back from Stephanie Vaquer.

It remains to be seen if we’ll see Giulia back on TV at this Tuesday’s NXT (March 25), and whether she will now factor into plans for the NXT Women’s Championship heading into Stand & Deliver on April 19.

Vaquer is set to defend both the NXT Women’s Championship and Women’s North American Championship on this Tuesday’s NXT, facing Jaida Parker and Fallon Henley respectively.
