A top WWE name is expected to make their return this week following a two month leave of absence.
In early November, it was reported that WWE Executive Director CWT, Bruce Prichard was set to take a leave of absence from the company.
While there was much speculation regarding Prichard’s status in WWE when the news first broke, it was later revealed by Prichard’s Something to Wrestle podcast co-host Conrad Thompson that Prichard’s absence was due to family/health reasons.
Initially Prichard’s absence was said to be indefinite, before a later update from the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer revealed that a return was expected in early 2025.
Now, in a new update PWInsider has revealed that Prichard is expected to return to his WWE duties as soon as this week, potentially as early as tomorrow night’s Friday Night SmackDown in Phoenix, AZ (January 3).
WWE is set for one of its biggest weeks in recent memory as SmackDown moves to three hours beginning with tomorrow night’s show, as well as Raw officially beginning life on Netflix on Monday with a huge premiere episode.
We will provide further updates on Prichard’s return to WWE and status for these shows when they become available.
