A top WWE star is pushing for a live show in the country of India.
Drew McIntyre knows all too well about pushing WWE to bring a live show to places they don’t usually.
The former two-time WWE Champion was an important figure in bringing the Clash At The Castle event to the United Kingdom in Cardiff, Wales back in September.
During an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, McIntyre promised to pitch the idea of WWE performing in India.
He said:
“Thank you [Indian fans] for being such a supporter of Drew McIntyre, for rallying behind me for so many years because you’ve believed in me, I believe in you all, and I’m gonna make you a promise right now, I’m not just here physically to enjoy India, I’m here to start harassing people.”
“I’m gonna start harassing people in WWE because you all deserve a live show.”
McIntyre continued on to note that he will speak as passionately about India potentially staging a big event one day, saying:
“It’s been too long, I wanna perform for the Indian fans.”
“And like I harassed everybody until Clash at the Castle happened, I’m gonna harass everybody until this live show [in India] happens. You’ve got my guarantee.”
Drew McIntyre last competed in a steel cage match victory over Karrion Kross at WWE Crown Jewel.
McIntyre then appeared on the November 11 edition of WWE SmackDown, making the save for The Brawling Brutes who were getting jumped by The Bloodline.
Both sides look set to meet in the Men’s War Games match at Survivor Series on Saturday, November 26. For the full lineup for Survivor Series, click here.
