Top WWE Star Gave Ideas For Top AEW Feud

A top WWE star reportedly gave ideas for a top AEW feud.

In 2020, FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler signed with All Elite Wrestling after a lengthy run with WWE. During their stint with WWE, Harwood and Wheeler developed a strong friendship and bond with WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

Speaking with his FTR podcast, Dax Harwood revealed that the Rated R Superstar had given him ideas for a possible angle with The Young Bucks before the duo signed with AEW. He said:

“I’d actually talked to Edge about the angle before we even went to AEW. I was like, ‘How can I make this angle personal’, and he gave me all these ideas about how we can say that we left the biggest company in the world to come find them.”

“They were too scared to come to the biggest company because they may be relegated to a lower level because they will be exposed because of us.”

“He is just so freakin smart, Adam, that is, Edge. So smart. But yeah, I’ve been thinking about this match for a very, very long time.”

FTR and The Young Bucks kickstarted a feud with one another upon Harwood and Wheeler’s arrival to the company.

The two tag teams battled for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Full Gear 2020 with the Bucks beating FTR for the gold.

They went on to meet again on the April 6, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite for the AAA and ROH World Tag Team Titles with FTR coming out on top in that battle.

As previously reported, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are currently taking time off of AEW television for next few months to think about their futures and recovering from lingering injuries.
