A top WWE star has reportedly landed a role in the pilot episode of an upcoming comedy show airing on FX.
While currently riding high as Women’s Intercontinental Champion on WWE Raw, Becky Lynch has seen her star grow outside the wrestling world, featuring in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 as well as a role in the upcoming Paramount + series: Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Now, Deadline has revealed yet another TV role for “The Man”, with Lynch reportedly being cast in the pilot episode of a potential comedy series titled ‘Movers’.
According to the report ‘Movers’ is an “improvised workplace comedy revolving around the erratic and codependent lives of a crew of movers.”
The pilot is set to be executive produced by Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim, who previously worked together for Comedy Central’s ‘Reno 911!’ series, both Garant and Shim will also have roles in ‘Movers’.
Deadline wrote the following regarding Lynch’s role in ‘Movers’:
(Rebecca) Quin is best known as the WWE superstar Becky Lynch, who recently made her big return to the WWE ring at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. She teamed with Lyra Valkyria and went on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Should Movers get picked up to series, it’s unknown what that will mean for her wrestling career.
Up next, she will be seen in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, premiering July 25. Additionally, she will soon appear on Alex Kurtzman’s Star Trek for Paramount+. Her prior credits include Showtime’s Billions, part of the stunt team for Vikings, and playing Cyndi Lauper in NBC’s Young Rock. In 2024, she released her memoir Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl, a New York Times bestseller. She is repped by CAA, Adventure Media, and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver Thompson.
