An update has emerged on a potential name alteration for former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Since late 2021, Rollins had officially been referred to in full as Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, which included his listing on the WWE website roster page.
However, we noticed a few days ago that the ‘Freakin’ was removed from that listing and it had been changed to just Seth Rollins.
This followed the ‘Freakin’ also being dropped from his on-screen nameplate and tron graphics for a while, although the announcers still used it.
On today’s March 17 WWE Raw in Brussels, Belgium, Rollins made an appearance after last week’s steel cage match between himself and CM Punk, which saw an interference by Roman Reigns who attacked both.
During his entrance, ring announcer Alicia Taylor still referred to him as Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins despite the change to his listing on the roster page a few days prior.
So unless Taylor just didn’t get the memo or forgot to leave it out, the ‘Freakin’ isn’t completely dropped.
During his appearance, Rollins said that he’ll be at this Friday’s WWE SmackDown in Bologna, Italy, with Reigns and Punk both also set to appear.
