Ahead of tonight’s event, WWE Women’s Champion Bayley has cancelled planned NXT Battleground attendance due to illness.
At NXT Battleground 2024, Roxanne Perez will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.
Meanwhile Ethan Page will make his WWE in-ring debut, challenging Trick Williams for the NXT Championship. The excitement for tonight’s event goes beyond just the fanbase, but also extends to the WWE main roster as well.
Ahead of tonight’s show, WWE Women’s Champion Bayley took to social media to reveal that she intended on attending NXT Battleground, but she cannot after falling ill. She wrote:
I had planned to fly to Vegas and be there live for tonight’s show, but unfortunately I caught a cold and I need to be 100% for Clash! So I’m resting at home but I’m gonna do some live tweeting and maybe IG live for this historic show tonight. I’m so proud of @WWENXT
