Top WWE Star Potentially Injured

Last night’s post-WrestleMania episode of SmackDown Live saw an unusual main event as The New Day took on The Bar and Raw’s Drew McIntyre, for some reason. It appears though that this foray into the blue brand may have been costly for the Scottish star.

For the viewers at home, the match seemed to end a little abruptly, with Kingston nailing Sheamus with a Trouble in Paradise for the win. Before a commercial break, Drew McIntyre was in control of Xavier Woods, even going so far as to slam him on the announcers desk, the madman.

After the commercial break though, the Scotsman was nowhere to be seen, as New Day won. The live audience however, have been filling in the blanks.

According to those in attendance, McIntyre tagged out of the match and walked to the back during the aforementioned commercial break, seemingly injured. David Taylor Stengal of WrestlingInc reported:

“Drew just tagged out, waved his arms around for a few seconds as if he was brushing someone off that was talking to him, and then walked around the ring to the back. He did not walk up the ramp but took the pathway next to the stage that led to the backstage area. He walked out on his own but appeared to be hurt.”

If this does turn out to be true, this would be highly unfortunate for McIntyre, who was seemingly set to jump to the blue brand to begin a fresh new chapter of his career.

As of right now, nothing has been confirmed, so this is just speculation. As such, you should take this with a pinch of salt for now until anything is reported officially.
