Top WWE Star Talks Nixed WrestleMania Entrance Plans

During an appearance on D’Von Dudley’s Table Talk podcast, SmackDown star Bayley spoke about the discussions she was having with WWE for a special entrance at this year’s WrestleMania show back in April.

At WrestleMania 36, Bayley defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship in a five-way against Tamina, Naomi, Lacey Evans and her former best friend and tag team partner Sasha Banks, but this is what Bayley wanted to happen at the show:

“To be honest, I have mentioned it to the WWE music producer and we talked about it for last year but this was like in the beginning — or no, I guess it would’ve been this year. The beginning of this year,” Bayley said. “So before the pandemic, before we knew that WrestleMania was gonna be in front of nobody and we were actually trying to figure out how to get that going and how to make it work. Like we were having phone calls about it, and then all this happened and we couldn’t do it. So, we’ll see. I’m never gonna stop trying because that’s a dream moment for me and a dream WrestleMania moment for me so Hayley Williams, let’s do it, come on.”

This year’s show was obviously moved to the Performance Centre due to COVID, meaning there weren’t any special entrances, the likes of which we have come to expect from grand WrestleMania shows. However, this is always an option for the future.

During her appearance on the show, D’Von Dudley revealed that he is dealing with some health issues and is currently taking some time away from WWE. You can read more about that story by clicking right here.
