A top WWE star apparently texted AEW stars Dax Harwood and Claudio Castagnoli to praise their recent match.
On the September 9 edition of AEW Rampage, Claudio Castagnoli defended the Ring of Honor World Championship against Dax Harwood. After a grueling bout, Castagnoli retained his title over Harwood.
On the latest episode of The Ringer’s MackMania podcast, Harwood revealed that a 14-time WWE World Champion reached out to express how blown away he was by their battle.
He stated:
“I might get him in trouble, but whatever, but after my match with Claudio, Randy Orton texts me and Claudio, and could not stop talking about how great the match was, and selling, and what’s missing in wrestling. He said that match is what’s missing.”
“I love getting accolades. I love the fans caring about us, and loving us, and ranking us high, but when my peers and people I look up to are the ones who give us the accolades, that’s pretty cool.”
Despite not claiming the ROH World Title, Dax Harwood along with his FTR tag team partner Cash Wheeler are the current IWGP, AAA and ROH World Tag Team Champions.
