A top WWE star has said he wants a one-on-one match against the new NXT double-champion Keith Lee who won the NXT Title on Wednesday’s show.
At Survivor Series 2019 in November, Lee was the last man to be eliminated in the five-vs-five-vs-five elimination tag team match, with SmackDown’s Roman Reigns putting him away after Lee himself had eliminated Raw’s Seth Rollins.
It was one of the more dramatic match conclusions in recent memory, with Lee very nearly getting the better of the multi-time World Champion, and Reigns is keen to reignite that spark.
Following Lee’s huge win this week, Reigns tweeted:
Congrats on one hell of a journey @RealKeithLee. Still a ton of work to do, which I know you already know. Keep killin it and representing. I definitely still want that one on one, Champ!
Reigns isn’t the only top WWE star we’ve seen Lee tear it up with, as he also had a hot exchange with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble in January.
While right now Keith Lee sits atop the NXT mountain, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him mixing it up with main roster stars some more in the future.
