Top WWE Star Says Working With John Cena Is A ‘Full Circle Moment’ WWE

A top WWE star says working with John Cena is a “full circle moment”.

Kevin Owens signed with WWE in 2014 and quickly won the NXT Championship from Sami Zayn. Soon thereafter, KO showed up on Monday Night Raw and confronted then-United States Champion John Cena.

Owens delivered one of the most shocking wins of the modern era when he defeated Cena at Elimination Chamber 2015.

Now, the former Universal Champion will team with John Cena to face Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn on the December 30 edition of SmackDown.

In a new interview with TMZ, Kevin Owens discussed how it feels to be joining forces with his former rival. He said:

“It’s kind of crazy, you know it’s all kind of full circle. I started with John when I came to WWE, and now he’s going to be my partner against Sami.”

“Me and Sami have had so much history in WWE, let alone our entire careers. To be in that kind of situation now together, it’s all just so surreal. I’m just grateful for the chance to experience that stuff.”

Owens went on to lose to Cena at the following two pay-per-views back in 2015. SmackDown will mark the first time they team together.

The big tag team main event will join the lineup for this Friday’s SmackDown with Ronda Rousey vs. Raquel Rodriguez for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Meanwhile, The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa will go one-on-one with Sheamus as well.
