Top WWE Stars Get Into Altercation At Fanatics Fest WWE

A pair of top WWE stars got into a heated altercation at Fanatics Fest in New York City.

Fanatics Fest kicked off yesterday at the Javits Center in New York City (June 20) with the stars of WWE having a strong presence throughout the proceedings.

On day two of the three day event (June 21) WWE hosted the SummerSlam 2025 Kickoff event, featuring the likes of CM Punk, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and many more hype up the two-night PLE on August 2 & 3 in Newark, New Jersey.

Before both Punk and Rollins hit the Kickoff stage however, they were both involved in an altercation that was captured by WWE’s cameras and posted to Twitter.

As can be seen below, the two rivals came face-to-face and appeared to be close to coming to blows before they were separated by security.

On Instagram WWE shared a different angle of Punk and Rollins’ fracas, revealing that Rollins ran into Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena before getting into it with Punk.

At the SummerSlam Kickoff show Michael Cole questioned John Cena about this “viral altercation”, to which he said:

“I think you’re throwing around the word altercation a bit loosely. I was enjoying myself at the Fanatics Fest entrance way, the WWE entrance way that they had for us, but I just wasn’t the only one enjoying myself.”

CM Punk challenges John Cena for his Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions on Saturday, June 28.

As he has been keen to remind both Cena and Punk, Seth Rollins holds the opportunity to potentially cash-in his newly won Money in the Bank contract during that match.
