In the immortal words of Frodo, it’s over. It’s done. The speculation regarding Cody Rhodes and WWE was finally put to bed last night (March 18), when it was officially reported that Cody Rhodes had re-signed with WWE.
Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update on Cody’s status since the news broke last night, noting that several top WWE stars are reportedly ‘very excited’ about the possibility of Cody rejoining the company.
Rhodes seems set for a marquee clash with Seth “Freakin” Rollins at the Showcase of the Immortals. Rhodes is currently scheduled for night two of the show, with Fightful also noting that WWE have discussed flying Rhodes in privately for the show, to avoid him being spotted in public in Dallas.
Cody’s arrival has changed a few of WWE’s plans for WrestleMania 38. Here are 11 matches that were planned for the show at some point, but ultimately never ended up happening.
