
A new trailer for the John Cena-led ‘Peacemaker’ was unveiled during DC FanDome, revealing the release date of the upcoming series.
The series is a spin-off from DC’s The Suicide Squad, which hit cinemas in the summer. The first season of the series will have eight episodes focusing on the origin of Peacemaker, who ‘believes in peace no matter the cost.’
It has now been announced that the show will premiere on HBO Max on January 13, 2022.

The series is written and directed by James Gunn, who also wrote and directed The Suicide Squad, and the MCU Guardian of the Galaxy films.
Cena starred at Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad alongside Margot Robbie, who has noted that Cena and The Undertaker were her favorite wrestlers. The Deadman has now stated that he believes Robbie would hold her own in a WWE ring.
Also at DC FanDome, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared a first look for the upcoming ‘Black Adam‘ film.
