An update has emerged regarding plans for Travis Scott to appear in WWE after his involvement with John Cena at WrestleMania 41.
The April Premium Live Event saw John Cena capture the WWE Championship, defeating Cody Rhodes with an assist from Travis Scott.
Going into WWE Money in the Bank, it was reported that Scott would appear at the June event.
More recently, it was also reported that Travis Scott was set to step into the ring at WWE SummerSlam, although those plans have been scrapped.
Dave Meltzer has now provided an insight into the backstage impression that WWE has of the rapper and singer-songwriter.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer stated that there was a perception that Scott “doesn’t like to commit to anything”:
Regarding Travis Scott, who was talked about for a celebrity tag match against Rhodes stemming from the Chamber and Mania angles, that obviously hasn’t materialized.
The reaction when asked about it was, “He doesn’t like to commit to anything. He goes half-in, and tries other projects at the same time. And since he’s a personal client of Ari, everyone tried to accommodate until it just became too much to deal with.
By contrast, Triple H has hailed Jelly Roll for his efforts for his upcoming tag team match at WWE SummerSlam, with it recently being revealed that Kevin Owens and Jacob Fatu have been training him.
Jelly Roll will team with Randy Orton to take on Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul at WWE SummerSlam on August 2 & 3.
