An update has emerged regarding potential backstage issues in WWE over Travis Scott after his involvement in the John Cena heel turn.
At Elimination Chamber earlier this month, the show closed with Scott, Cena and The Rock all attacking Cody Rhodes, with footage showing that Scott made a legitimate connection on Rhodes’ face with a big slap.
This has left Rhodes with visible facial bruising for the past couple of weeks, and reportedly a busted eardrum as well.
After news of the incident and the damage it had done to Rhodes spread, some reports emerged claiming that there was heat on Scott following the incident.
A new report from Fightful Select now states that WWE will not be pulling the plug on having Scott involved in the storyline and there are still plans in place for him to be involved, so it’s not like he’s been removed from any plans because of what happened.
Scott has already done some in-ring training, including with Booker T, and is expected to do more.
Like John Cena and The Rock, Scott has not appeared on WWE TV since Elimination Chamber.
For Cena, that run of not appearing ends today as he will be on tonight’s Raw Brussels, Belgium, under the same roof as Cody Rhodes for the first time since the Elimination Chamber angle.
