Triple H & Travis Scott WWE Backstage Conversation After Cody Rhodes Slap Revealed

Triple H & Travis Scott WWE Backstage Conversation After Cody Rhodes Slap Revealed WWE

The real reason Travis Scott slapped Cody Rhodes so hard at WWE Elimination Chamber has been revealed, with an update emerging on the backstage reaction.

The rapper was involved in what many fans consider to be one of the biggest segments in pro-wrestling history, with John Cena turning heel by attacking Cody Rhodes and aligning with The Rock.

Cena, The Rock and Scott then continued their brutal attack, during which Scott slapped Cody Rhodes really hard on the side of the face.

Clips of this slap went viral, with reports also noting that this slap is believed to be the cause of Rhodes’ legitimate busted eardrum and black eye injuries.

Speaking on The Ankler Podcast, WWE CCO Triple H and President Nick Khan touted the social media success surrounding this heel turn segment.

Nick Khan revealed that Travis Scott told him that he only hit Rhodes so hard because The Rock told him to “slap the s**t” out of Rhodes, noting:

“(Triple H) did tell Travis after, like, ‘Hey, you know, that was a pretty hard slap. We’ll show you how to pull your punches a little bit.’

“Travis said, ‘Dwayne Johnson told me you better slap the s**t out of him, or people are gonna think that you don’t have it. So I just did that’ and (Triple H) chuckled and I chuckled.”
