For 1043 days, Nick Aldis had reigned as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, when he regained the championship from former champion Cody Rhodes at the NWA 70th Anniversary show.
On last night’s NWA 73 show, that reign came to an end. The new champion is Trevor Murdoch, who scored the victory in the main event after putting his career on the line.

Murdoch will be best known for his three year stint in WWE, where he was a three time WWE World Tag Team Champion alongside Lance Cade.
