Trinity Fatu Opens Up About Her Time Away From Professional Wrestling WWE

Trinity Fatu has discussed her time away from professional wrestling.

IMPACT Wrestling picked a massive free agent when it was announced that Trinity Fatu, the former Naomi in WWE, had signed with the company and debuted on the May 4 episode.

Fatu has already made a big impact in the promotion, expressing her desire to gun for the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship and being confronted by the current champion Deonna Purrazzo.

Before coming to IMPACT Wrestling, Trinity had been away from the professional wrestling scene for nearly a year after walking out of the May 12, 2022 episode of WWE Raw alongside Sasha Banks, now known as Mercedes Mone.

In a new interview with Denise Salcedo, the former Naomi opened up about her time away from the wrestling ring and how it helped her figure out her next path in life. Trinity said:

“Initially it was tough. It was really tough, just feeling like my whole world, everything, it all just being cut off.”

“That was tough, but having the time to step away from everything, really ask myself, ‘What do I want in this next season of my life? What have I been missing? What made me feel this way? What is it gonna take for me to feel better, be in a happier place, and also to feel fulfilled?”

“Not just make money, not just be on TV, not just have the fame and all that, but really be fulfilled. To me, if you’re not happy doing all these things, that doesn’t work for me.”

Fatu continued on to explain how she would try to find balance in her life following the close of her time in WWE, saying:

“So just finding balance in my life and really tapping into myself and what Trinity needs and what Trinity wants in this next phase.”

“It took me a little time to figure out if I still wanted to wrestle because the whole situation, it was a lot.”

“But once I had the time away and realized how much I missed it and how much the fans that were still supporting me, it was easy to make that decision to give it one more go and not hang it up yet.”

As previously reported, Trinity Fatu revealed which AEW star reached out to her following her WWE walkout.
