Lyra Valkyria beat Dakota Kai to become the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion on the January 13 episode of Raw.

As can be seen below this news story, the WWE Chief Content Officer shared his thoughts on the new champion, tweeting:
“Congratulations to your first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion @Real_Valkyria.
“The beginning of a brand new legacy…in a brand new era.”
The video shows Valkyria with Triple H backstage having new photos taken before the executive shakes hands with the new champion, whispering something to her.
Although Kai lost to Valkyria, Triple H also sent a message of support to the Damage CTRL member who promised that the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship was among the titles in her sights.
Following her victory on last night’s WWE Raw, Valkyria discussed her visions for the new championship.
