WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has addressed the announcement of a big WrestleMania 41 match.
On Friday Night SmackDown in Bologna, Italy (March 21) a fifth match was made official for the WrestleMania 41 card, as Randy Orton challenged Kevin Owens to a one-on-one contest in Las Vegas.
The match will seek to culminate Orton and Owens’ lengthy feud and will be the second straight year that the two men have worked together at WrestleMania, having previously competed in a three-way for Logan Paul’s United States Championship at last year’s event.
Following the match being confirmed for WrestleMania 41, Triple H took to Twitter to write:
We’ve seen an even more determined and vicious @FightOwensFight……and a return to form for @RandyOrton.
There is only one place left for them to fight…#WrestleMania.
While not announced as of yet, the closing segment of SmackDown heavily implied that another huge match is set to be official for Las Vegas.
After exchanging words and fists at the end of the show, CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns all pointed towards the WrestleMania 41 sign at different points, spelling out that a three-way match between them is set to be announced for April 19-20.
We will provide further updates when this or any other matches are confirmed to be taking place at WrestleMania 41.
