Triple H Booking Plans ‘On Pause’ Due To WWE Star’s Popularity

Triple H Booking Plans ‘On Pause’ Due To WWE Star’s Popularity WWE

An update has emerged on a significant change to Triple H’s WWE booking due to Sami Zayn’s popularity.

We may be experiencing the first big instance of WWE changing plans under the Triple H regime, during Triple H’s tenure overseeing creative as the company’s Chief Content Officer.

Per WrestleVotes, speaking with GiveMeSport, WWE originally had plans for Kevin Owens to continue appearing in Bloodline segments, with the end goal for Owens to be paired with Sami Zayn.

Noting that these plans have been pushed back, and at least paused due to Zayn’s popularity, WrestleVotes said:

“He was pegged to get involved with Sami and The Bloodline, but that’s white hot right now. Those plans from what I’ve been told are definitely pushed back, but they’re not off, because the plan is for Kevin Owens to be with Sami Zayn.

“Whatever they had planned for Kevin Owens is totally on pause because this stuff with Sami doesn’t come around often. This was supposed to be a little three, four week comedy deal, and it’s getting big.”

Sami Zayn’s recent work with the Bloodline has been praised by fans, with the Bloodline promo on the October 28 edition of SmackDown going viral after Zayn made Roman Reigns laugh on live TV.

During the October 30 live event in Glasgow, Scotland, Zayn dropped Braun Strowman with a Superman Punch to a huge pop.

Kevin Owens’ most recent WWE TV match took place on the September 30 edition of SmackDown in Toronto, Canada, with Owens teaming with Drew McIntyre and Johnny Gargano to face Austin Theor, Chad Gable and Otis.
