Triple H Breaks Character On Brock Lesnar Mentoring Oba Femi Behind The Scenes In WWE

Triple H has broken character regarding Brock Lesnar mentoring Oba Femi behind the scenes in WWE ahead of SummerSlam 2026.

SummerSlam night one, which is Saturday, August 1, features a Hell in a Cell match between Lesnar and Femi, with their record standing at 1-1 following Femi’s win at WrestleMania 42 and Lesnar’s win at Clash In Italy.

Ahead of the match, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has pulled the curtain back and revealed that Lesnar is actually mentoring Femi behind the scenes.

On Busted Open today, HHH said:

“There is another level past the in-ring that can be just as meaninful, if not more so, for guys moving forward, and that’s where guys will learn.

“We’re fortunate now to have a generation of Cody and Punk and Roman and Seth, and all of these guys. Brock.

“He’d probably suplex me for saying this, but Brock is hands on with Oba Femi. He’s seen something special there and he’s like, ‘Okay kid, come with me, and I’m gonna teach you. Here’s all the things you’ve gotta learn.’ He brings him in his room in the afternoon, they sit for hours and talk about this stuff.

“It’s that level of stuff that brings this next generation up and I think will take it to the next level, and I’m excited to see it.

“For every star that we have now sitting at the top, there’s a guy underneath him. An Oba, a Trick, a Carmelo, Je’Von, all these people that are sitting underneath them just soaking up this knowledge, and I think that’s gonna make the next generation thrive.”

Triple H Praises Oba Femi As ‘Paradigm-Shifting, Game-Changing Athlete’

In a separate interview on ESPN, Triple H specifically had praise for Femi as not just a physical specimen, but his level of intelligence as well.

H said:

“There is no ceiling. I’ve been fortunate enough to be around this business for a long time and see a lot of guys come and go, to see a lot of first moments for people. The only guy I’ve seen that I can recall walking down a hallway at one of our events, seeing for the first time and thinking ‘Wow, this just changed the game,’ was Brock Lesnar.

“Oba Femi is of that same cloth, he is a guy that when you see him in ring for the first time – and keep in mind he’s only been doing this for a very, very short period of time – he is a paradigm-shifting, game-changing athlete that comes along once in a generation. Very rare.

“There is no ceiling and the one thing about Oba that stands out more than anything else for me, dealing with him on a day-to-day basis, he is a smart, smart man also. It’s not just a case of this physically intimidating, generational athlete that others can’t match. It’s a different level of intelligence and business savvy like I’ve seen in very few people also.

“When I say there is no ceiling, I really mean there is no ceiling. It’s anything he wants, it’s just a matter of when, not if.”
