Triple H Planning To Cancel 14-Year WWE PPV

Triple H Planning To Cancel 14-Year WWE PPV WWE

Paul Levesque (Triple H) is reportedly planning to cancel a WWE pay-per-view (or premium live event) that has been a regular fixture on the calendar for 14 years.

According to WrestleVotes speaking with GiveMeSport, Levesque will not be going forward with annual Hell in a Cell events.

WrestleVotes explained that the match stipulation means a lot to Triple H so he no longer wants to have to shoehorn Hell in a Cell matches into his booking just because it’s that time of year.

Just be clear, Levesque isn’t eliminating Hell in a Cell MATCHES, just the specific annual event.

We’ll still see Hell in a Cell matches happen whenever they fit his booking, rather than having to be at a specific time of year.

This lines up with previous reports of plans to eliminate numerous ‘gimmick’ events, although WWE did just announce Elimination Chamber 2023 for February 18 in Montreal, and has Survivor Series WarGames coming up on November 26.

WrestleVotes also spoke to GiveMeSport about Triple H’s current stance on potentially bringing CM Punk back to WWE, which you can read about at this link.
