Triple H Confirms Another Huge Change To WWE Survivor Series WWE

Triple H has confirmed some big changes for this year’s Survivor Series WWE premium live event.

As originally reported by The Ringer, the November 26 event will feature two WarGames matches, one for the men’s division, and the other for the women’s roster.

Triple H has also revealed that Survivor Series 2022 will not be about brand supremacy. Confirming that the WarGames matches won’t be Raw vs SmackDown, Triple H told The Ringer:

“The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that. This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more storyline driven.”

Survivor Series has had a brand vs brand theme for every event since 2016, when the brand extension was reintroduced. the 2019 event notably featured NXT wrestlers competing, with the then-Black & Gold brand winning the night overall.

At Survivor Series 2021, SmackDown’s Universal Champion Roman Reigns defeated Raw’s WWE Champion Big E in the main event of the show. Team Raw won both the men’s and women’s traditional five-on-five Survivor Series matches at this event.

Triple H currently acts as the Chief Content Officer of WWE, and has been running creative since Vince McMahon’s retirement in late-July.
