Ahead of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC, Paul Levesque (Triple H) has presented Cody Rhodes with a ‘one night only’ item.
In a new video posted by Triple H, he meets with Rhodes in front of what appears to be a championship belt case.
Triple H tells Rhodes it’s for “one night only” before walking away and leading Rhodes to open the case.
When Rhodes opens the case, we never see its contents, but it’s clear that it’s glowing a bright gold in front of him.
While not yet confirmed, many fans pointed out that Rhodes has previously noted his affinity for the classic ‘winged eagle’ design of the WWE Championship belt which was used between 1988 and 1998.
Despite publicly mentioning his desire to bring that belt back on numerous occasions, Rhodes has continued to carry the current Undisputed WWE Championship belt for the duration of his reign so far.
However, given the circumstances, it appears that he may get his wish for this “one night only” occasion.
Taking to his own social media, Rhodes reposted some classic eyeball emojis in addition to telling fans that they will not want to miss tuning in on Saturday Night for the special surprise.
