WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has commented on potential buffering issues when Raw moves to Netflix.
WWE Raw is set to move to Netflix starting on January 6, 2025, with the first show being hyped up as a major one, featuring appearances from Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and Travis Scott.
However, WWE’s future on Netflix was questioned by fans following the recent Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing fight that streamed on the platform last week, when the event was marred by issues, notably constant buffering and low quality video.
While Paul vs. Tyson received a lot more traffic than a standard episode of Raw would, and Triple H himself has commented on the issues, sharing a similar sentiment.
Speaking to Greg & The Morning Buzz, Triple H was asked about the issues with buffering during the Paul vs. Tyson stream, simply saying:
“If our first night buffers and they come and say it was 60-70 million households watching, I’ll be good with the buffering.”
While Raw will be moving to Netflix in the United States, all WWE content will move to the platform internationally, with the WWE Network officially set to end in January.
