Earlier in the week, it was reported that WWE creative wanted to add COO Triple H to NXT’s five-man team for the men’s elimination tag match at Survivor Series.
Despite this, the report went on to add that Triple H had no interest in being part of the team, and was actually against the idea.
On a call with the media ahead of NXT TakeOver: War Games III on Saturday night, Triple H confirmed that he does not want to be part of the five-man squad that will represent NXT at Survivor Series.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter, “The Game” said that NXT is about the youth and the future, explaining why he doesn’t want to be included.
Triple H has no interest, "zero interest" in wrestling in NXT or being on their Survivor Series team. He says he would fight that vigorously. NXT is about the youth and the future. He leaves the door cracked open for the "perfect time," but it's not now.

Four of the five men that will represent NXT on Sunday night are expected to be announced on tonight’s show on the USA Network.
While it won’t be him, Triple H did confirm that the final member of the team will be revealed on “the day of” Survivor Series. He noted that it will be an epic surprise that is guaranteed “to get people excited”.
One member of team NXT will be revealed "the day of." He says it will be epic and people will be excited.

Some have speculated that with Survivor Series taking place in CM Punk’s home city of Chicago, that the former WWE Champion could make his in-ring return on the show and help NXT.
However, I fully expect the final member of the team to be a new signing, possibly even a returning John Morrison who reportedly will be rejoining the company very soon.
