Triple H has detailed his long-term creative outlook in his new role.
On July 22, Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE. On July 25, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were named as co-CEOs in his place, while Triple H assumed all creative duties for the main roster.
Since taking on the role, The Game has hired back various stars by the old regime and refreshed the overall product thanks to a renewed focus on the creative process.
During the WWE third quarter 2022 conference call, Paul “Triple H” Levesque was asked the core elements for his creative outlook.
Levesque answered that the company is looking at a year-long cycle of content creation over the year and picking places you want to go to and figure out how to get there.
Triple H continued that they are looking ahead farther than they ever have before and are already starting to collaborate into what they want for Wrestlemania 40 as they get past Mania 39.
The Wrestling Observer Twitter account posted the following:
Levesque said they are looking ahead for content creation like never before, citing how they are looking at how WrestleMania flows into the summer and so on. They are focusing on character development, especially with NXT call-ups and investing in them.
The Game noted that it’s a large cycle and the business is unique with injuries and talent out, while also pointing out the recent success without Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
He said: “You’ll see stars return and stars developed before they come up to Raw and Smackdown so they mean more.”
Triple H wants to keep things fresh and noted the success of the “White Rabbit” mystery as an example. He’s not afraid of the losses because they teach him why something doesn’t work and they can learn from it.
WWE wants to have a plan of where they want to go now under Triple H, which is a good thing for most fans.
As previously reported, Triple H heavily teased a major celebrity appearance for this Saturday’s Crown Jewel event during today’s conference call.
We will have further updates on the WWE third quarter 2022 conference call when they become available.
