‘As Charismatic As Ever’ – Triple H Discusses AJ Lee’s WWE Return

Triple H has discussed the recent WWE return of AJ Lee after a 10 year absence from the company, heaping praise on the former three-time WWE Divas Champion.

The September 5 episode of SmackDown in Chicago, IL saw the long-awaited return of AJ Lee, over a decade on from her last WWE appearance in March 2015.

After physically confronting Becky Lynch on SmackDown and stealing her Women’s Intercontinental Championship, AJ appeared on yesterday’s episode of WWE Raw, receiving another rapturous response from the audience in Milwaukee as she addressed her return on the microphone for the first time.

The segment would also see AJ lay out the challenge for a mixed tag team match at WWE Wrestlepalooza, with AJ teaming with husband CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

With the match now official, Triple H discussed AJ’s return to action during an appearance on today’s Pat McAfee Show.

Triple H said:

“AJ just coming back, it’s funny she’s been out 10 years and hasn’t missed a beat, just right in there as charismatic as ever, fans are loving it so it’s going to be great.”

AJ Lee’s last match on WWE programming came on the March 30, 2015 episode of Raw, where she teamed with Naomi and Paige to defeat Natalya and The Bella Twins.
