Triple H has commented on the WWE NXT stars who will be part of John Cena’s final show at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Cena himself requested a theme of WWE main roster stars vs NXT talent for his last show which takes place tonight.
Those matches will see WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs NXT Champion Oba Femi, Bayley vs Sol Ruca, and AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater.
Appearing on the pre-show ahead of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Triple H commented on the NXT stars that will be showcased during SNME.
He said:
“You’re gonna see a future that is taking place right now. And that’s really what John Cena’s about. John’s desire to leave this place better than he found it.
“His desire to give people the opportunities that he received, and then knocked out of the park. He was there to take the pitch but then did all the work to get it there. He just wants to see that for others.
“And part of him leaving it better than he found it is what you’re gonna watch tonight. It’s 21-year-old Je’Von Evans, it’s 21-year-old Leon, it’s 24 I believe Sol Ruca, it’s 26-year-old Oba Femi.
“It’s people that are just sort of cracking the surface of a moment in time that 20 years from now, we’re gonna be watching in a place like this, the Oba Femi final match and retirement, and knowing that John Cena’s the one that set the table for them.”
