Triple H was interviewed in a media call earlier today, and in true Triple H in media call fashion, revealed some very interesting titbits of information for us to gorge on.
Here are some of the more fascinating points:
- WWE actually knew about Tommaso Ciampa’s injury before they called him up to the main roster. However, it went from manageable and progressively got worse to the point he was no longer able to survive until TakeOver and plans had to change
- Triple H mentioned that WWE is still working out how they are going to do WrestleMania weekend after SmackDown moves to Fox
- We should “never say never” on there being NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, but at this point in time, Trips doesn’t see the point in them as the WWE Women’s Tag Titles are floating between brands anyway
- There will be announcements soon regarding the next NXT UK TakeOver show
- We were set to have Dominik Dijakovic vs. Keith Lee in New York, but due to Lee’s injury, it had to be paused
- Trips says we can expect the “criss-crossing” between brands to calm down when it comes to Ricochet and Aleister Black, but nothing is set in stone yet
- He also says we should “wait and see” when it comes to the status of Lars Sullivan
- The call ends with HHH confirming an NXT TakeOver show in San Jose, California for June 8
