Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has signed a new multi-year deal with WWE/TKO to remain as the Chief Content Officer, per WWE President Nick Khan.

July 2026 will mark 4 years since the initial retirement of Vince McMahon as WWE’s head of creative and Paul Levesque taking over the creative process of the company.

Following WWE’s sale to TKO in September 2023, McMahon was entirely removed from the creative equation, and was removed from the company altogether in January 2024, leaving Triple H as the sole Chief Content Officer.

While TKO higher-ups have the power to adjust storylines accordingly, as seen with Pat McAfee’s involvement in this year’s WrestleMania main event, the rest of the creative process is entirely in the hands of Levesque, and that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon.

Triple H Signs New Multi-Year WWE Contract

Per PWInsider, TKO held an ‘all-hands on deck’ virtual town hall earlier today, in which WWE President Nick Khan spoke, and announced that Paul Levesque had signed a new employment contract with the company to remain as the Chief Content Officer, per those who attended the call.

When asking around, PWInsider was told that Levesque’s deal was a ‘multi-year’ deal, possibly being as long as three years, and was said to have been completed prior to WrestleMania 42 weekend.

It was also noted by Nick Khan in the interview that TKO has largely been happy with Levesque’s work in the role.

Improvements To WWE Television Under Triple H’s Creative

With almost four years removed from his initial appointment, there have been both positive and negative changes to WWE television in the Triple H era compared to the Vince McMahon era.

While the downsides of the Triple H era to a lot of fans include the oversaturation of advertisement and sponsorships, shorter pay-per-view match cards among other changes, all in all, even at it’s lowest points, the weekly show remains improved from what was being offered in the late stages of the Vince McMahon era from 2017 through to early 2022, which featured many of the company’s now most infamously panned angles and matches.

Triple H’s creative regime also led to the reintroduction of the World Heavyweight Championship, the end of gimmick premium live events and the over abundance of weekly rematches on Raw and SmackDown that made the shows a chore to watch during McMahon’s last years.
