Since taking over as WWE Chief Content Officer last July, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has scarcely been absent from WWE shows, with him tending to run the shows backstage.

However, that was not the case with this week’s episode of Raw, as Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that Triple H was not present at this week’s episode of Raw.

Several people backstage at the show had noted to Fightful that Triple H’s absence was unexpected, but that he was in a great mood on Saturday night for Money In The Bank and was excited for the show’s success.

In regards to his absence, those that Fightful spoke to claimed that there was ‘nothing to it’, and it was just a planned night away for Triple H, with him expected to return to duties for this week’s SmackDown show.

Talent were not told why Triple H was not present for the show.

As per usual when Triple H has not been present at shows, this week’s Raw was headed up by Bruce Prichard.

For those wondering about Vince McMahon, he was not present in London for Money In The Bank this past weekend, nor was he present at Raw in Triple H’s absence.

This week’s Raw show saw the continued tensions within the Judgment Day following Damian Priest’s Money In The Bank victory on Saturday night.
