WWE has always had the reputation that it doesn’t play well with others. This is not new and in many ways goes all the way back to Vince McMahon going head-to-head with NWA territories in the 1980s. However, Triple H believes people are misinformed.
During the NXT TakeOver WarGames media call, Triple H was asked if WWE would be open to working with other promotions after AEW and Impact revealed their partnership on Wednesday. His reply was that WWE is open to anything if it is the right thing.
is WWE/NXT open to crossovers with other companies? HHH says "we're open for business" and says perceptions of their business from others are often incorrect. If it's the right thing and meaningful, he thinks VKM is open for anything. ^JN

“Is WWE/NXT open to crossovers with other companies? HHH says ‘we’re open for business’ and says perceptions of their business from others are often incorrect. If it’s the right thing and meaningful, he thinks [Vince McMahon] is open for anything.”
While WWE’s track record speaks for itself, Triple H was clear to say people’s perceptions of WWE are often incorrect.
WWE has shown more of a willingness to work with certain promotions over the last few years. EVOLVE, ICW, and PROGRESS are the ones that immediately spring to mind. Whether this will extend to larger promotions like AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, remains to be seen.
