An update has emerged on plans for Braun Strowman following his return on the September 5 edition of WWE Raw.
On the show, Strowman interfered in the tag-team fourway bout, laying waste to all stars at ringside. The Monster Among Men is slated to appear on the September 9 episode of SmackDown.
Per PWInsider, Strowman will join the SmackDown roster moving forward. It was also noted that current plans call for Strowman to be presented as a babyface for the Blue Brand.
Strowman last wrestled for WWE at WrestleMania Backlash 2021, unsuccessfully challenging for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Title in a threeway bout also featuring Drew McIntyre.
He was released from his WWE contract that June. Following his exit, the former Universal Champion launched the ‘Control Your Narrative’ promotion with former WWE star EC3.
Prior to Strowman’s return, Triple H had praised the Monster Among Men’s athleticism in an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport.
Several released names have returned to WWE with Triple H running creative, including Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai and Karrion Kross.
Triple H has now been named the Chief Content Officer of WWE.
