Triple H Praises Pete Dunne And Hints Of A Move To The Main Roster

Following the fantastic NXT Takeover: New York show, Triple H spoke on a media call about a variety of issues, including FOX Sport’s interest in broadcasting NXT TV on their channel, and what the future holds for Pete Dunne.

Pete Dunne held the WWE United Kingdom Championship for just shy of 700 days, but was bested by WALTER on Friday night at Takeover. Speaking after the show, Triple H had the following to say regarding “The Bruiserweight”.

“As far as a Raw, SmackDown, or anything else…he will do amazing things with his career. He’s (25-years-old) and is just getting started. It’s amazing how good he is at the age he’s at and he’s another guy, when you look at him, starting with us just a couple of years ago, how good he’s become and how much better he is now than he was then. So where does he go? Onward and upward. Whether he’s back in (the NXT UK) title picture or moves on to another title picture. I don’t know that there’s too many people here with a brighter future than him. He’s going to be able to do whatever he wants to do.”

Triple H really put Dunne over in his comments, saying that there aren’t many people with a “brighter future than him”. “The Game” even teased that former UK Champion would be appearing on Raw or Smackdown soon.

The respect seemingly is not just one-sided, with Dunne sharing this emotional backstage picture of him and Triple H after his loss inside Barclays Centre.

With the Superstar Shake-Up taking place next week and many surprises expected, could we be seeing the British Strong Style member on Raw or Smackdown in the not too distant future?
