Triple H Provides Road Dogg Health Update

Triple H Provides Road Dogg Health Update

In the aftermath of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Triple H has provided an update on the condition of Brian James (aka Road Dogg).

Towards the end of last month, Road Dogg was hospitalized, believed to have suffered a heart attack. A little over a week ago, his wife revealed that he was free to leave hospital, with no blockages in his heart.

According to Triple H, not only is Road Dogg recovering well, he has already resumed select NXT duties. Speaking during the post-NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver media call, Triple H revealed that Road Dogg was involved in the production of the 2-night event.

Here is the full quote:

“I wanted to mention that Brian James, Road Dogg, has been home. He’s been recovering, but he is healthy, he is good. He is recovering at home, he is doing well. We had him set up, so he was on (a) headset over the last 2 days being involved. As he gets his strength back and everything feeling good, he will be back at it being the Road Dogg in no time. I just wanted to give a shout-out to him and we, gravely, miss him here. He will be back soon enough, but he is doing well.”

Road Dogg has been at the Performance Center since May, teaching classes on character and in-ring promos. He also works as a producer for the NXT brand.

Ember Moon recently paid tribute to Road Dogg, D-X crotch-chopping during her NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship TakeOver match.

Also at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, Karrion Kross became a 2-time NXT Champion, pinning Finn Balor in the semi-main event.
