WWE CCO Paul Levesque (Triple H) has addressed the return of R-Truth that took place during tonight’s Money in the Bank PLE.
Truth announced last weekend that he was exiting WWE as he’d been told by the company that his contract wasn’t going to be renewed upon its expiration.
In the days that followed, WWE personnel have voiced their displeasure at the decision, as have the fans, with multiple R-Truth chants during every single WWE show since his announcement.
In tonight’s main event of Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs John Cena & Logan Paul, Truth made an unexpected return, laying out Cena which ultimately led to Rhodes and Uso scoring the win.
During the WWE Money in the Bank post-show, Triple H was asked about the situation, and in his response claimed it has all been “part of the show”.
He said:
“Enjoying the show? It’s all part of the show man!”
He made no further comments beyond that.
In reality, that doesn’t appear to be the case, as nothing about the situation over the past week has suggested it was anything other than legitimate, and PWInsider reported Truth was in talks with independent promotions just a couple of days ago about potential upcoming bookings.
Also, Carlito and Sarah Logan/Valhalla also announced their departures under the same circumstances as Truth last weekend.
It also appears Truth will be using his real name, Ron Killings, going forward.
