Prior to Saturday’s NXT Takeover: XXV special, Triple H spoke to the media about a whole host of topics, including one of NXT’s newest stars.
Velveteen Dream will be defending his North American title at the show in a mouth-watering clash against Tyler Breeze. Despite being called up to the main roster in late-2015, this is Breeze’s second shot at the relatively new championship after appearing at Full Sail in 2018 to answer the open challenge of then-champion Ricochet.
However, unlike his appearance in 2018, this is not a one-off deal for Breeze, with Triple H confirming that the former tag team partner of Fandango is now a full-time NXT performer.
Dave Meltzer had the following to say on Triple H’s comments in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“He said that Tyler Breeze is considered an NXT guy at this point, not a guy just in for a cycle of building one big show match. He’s open to the idea of more people like that but didn’t mention names”.
So not only did HHH confirm that Breeze is hanging around in NXT, but he also revealed that he would be open for other superstars who aren’t being utilised on the main roster to make the jump back down to NXT.
With this revelation from Triple H, which main roster star would you like to see make Full Sail University his/her new home? Let us know in the comments.
